Ajay Devgn is known as a main stream film actor, director and producer in Bollywood. He entered in Hindi cinema as an action hero but later he moved to comedy and performed in almost all types of characters. Presently he is appreciated for his wonderful appearance in comedy movies as well as serious roles like Golmal and Rajniti. He is a film Ajay Devgan was born on April 2, 1969 in Maharashtra at the home of Veeru Devgan a stunt choreographer. He changed his name from Ajay Devgan to Ajay Devgn in 2009.
Ajay Devgan completed his education from Bappu School and Mithibai College in Mumbai. Ajay Devgan’s first film was Phool Aur Kante in 1991 for which he was nominated for Filmfare Best Debut Award and he received it too. Next year in 1992 he did Jigar with Karishma Kapoor which was also a commercial hit. Later he did more films including Dilwale, Suhaag, Vijayapath, Diljale. In 1997, Devgan performed comedy in Ishq starring Aamir Khan, Kajol and Juhi Chawla. He continued track in next films like Golmal series, Masti, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, Toonpur Ka Super Hero and Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji. Ajay Devgan established several milestones in his career and performed in various types of roles. He has won two National Film Awards for Best Actor for his awesome acting in Zakhm in 1998 & the Legend of Bhagat Singh in 2002 including four Filmfare Awards for Phool Aur Kaante (1991), Zakhm (1998), The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002) and Deewangee (2002). Besides this, he has been nominated nine times for Filmfare Awards as Filmfare Best Actor Award for Naajayaz (1995), Hum Del De Chuke Sanam (1999), Company (2002), Gangajal (2003), Apaharan (2005) and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai (2010), Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Awards for Lajja (2001) and Filmfare Best Villain Award for Khakee (2004) & Kaal (2005).
